The Big E was a great time for all.

Despite a rainy start, we had a great day at the Big E. The bandkidz rode themselves dizzy on the rides while the parents ate their way through the exhibits and concession booths. Maine had the best lobster rolls at $8 bucks while Mass had the cheapest at $5.
Clam chowder, fudge, pierogies, sausage subs, french fries and onion rings were readily consumed. All that was left was the fried cheese curd...maybe next time. Then it was time for desert. Emily and Dan both bought the winning powerball tickets. We're all going to Disneyworld!!! Pack your bags....

The band got dressed to perform at 3:30 and performed on the village green to a standing ovation, (except for the few people on benches) and then prepared for the parade at 4 pm. They marched around the parade route in grand style with MsB on a stylish 4 wheel scooter and she remarked after the parade that it was the best performance ever in a parade. Everyone changed out of their uniforms and made a mad dash back to the fair for one last look around and a trip to the restrooms before the 3 hour drive home, arriving at a little after 9:30.

FORMS for the School Department

Here are the forms that need to be filled out for volunteers and chaperones for the band. Just click on the picture and a larger version will pop up in a new window. Type FILE/Print Preview to make certain it fills the page and then hit the print version. You may have to adjust the size a bit in Print Set up. Size at 120 % works for me. If this doesn't work for you, email me and I will send you these in PDF format.

Browsing Around ....

The Marshwood Competition was great fun. You can extend that fun by visiting their excellent website.

I'm jealous aren't you? There is a link for new (and old) bandparents that you will enjoy here.

Our school page will hopefully be updated later this week. I'll keep you posted. Thanks Nancy for the link!

You Go Girl !!!

Newest Winner of Survivor !!!!

Michele certainly qualifies for my pick as the winner. Nothing is going to keep her down for long!!!! Great hat ! Hang in there.

Teamwork and Cooperation before the Marshwood Show

Its all about teamwork and cooperation! Even when it comes to helping a friend keep that knee iced and elevated after an injury! If you missed last nights Marshwood Band Show you really missed out! DHS Marching Band was awesome! It's truely amazing seeing how much progress this kids make each and every week! The U Maine band was incredibly entertaining and drew a standing ovation from the crowd. I especially liked the funky Sousaphone section. Seven Sassy Sousaphones is a Sight to See!!! If you didn't make it to the Marshwood show, be sure to catch the band at the football game Friday or the Portsmouth competition on SATURDAY!!!

Fun At Band Camp CD Rom

Hi All,

Many of you have requested seeing the photos from band camp that I placed on snapfish. I would like to make available to anyone a CDROM containing a selfplaying "show" highlighting most of those photos. There is also an archive of the pictures themselves on the CD that you can view, send to friends and family or print. Unlike snapfish which displays a smaller less viewable image, these are all 600 X 800 images and I think its something you will enjoy. Either give me a blank CD at any of the T - Th practices or I will make you one for a nominal fee of $1 to cover my cost.
